when america was discovered, then colonised by europeans, were we good guys? were we evil? the colonisation saw the genocide, and near extinction, of the indigenous population, now called native-americans - and it didn't stop there, and it happens to this day, from palestine to the sudan, from indonesia to the middle-east - and in the animal kingdom, groups try to dominate other groups, and insects naturally seek dominion over their territory
so probably animals born on another world would likely be subject to the same tenets of evolution, and if they evolve an intelligence like ours, would only have their own interests at heart, just as humans and all animals on this world have their own interests at heart - that of wealth and power seeking more wealth and power, of groups dominating other groups, and of expanding your territory
likewise, i'm sure aliens might perceive us and our world only in terms of domination and control of resources
and what if aliens see us as worthless in the eyes of their own supernatural religions, if they have religions
outer space is potentially a very dangerous place, and the best that can happen to us is possibly that the aliens never arrive
the dinosaurs became extinct, and so might we. 20 million years from now, some other form of life might be dominant on earth. Maybe when we're gone, rodents will evolve into your creatures!!! lol!!!!
